Raising Cane Farms is deeply grateful for the support of a number of non-profit organizations who have provided grants and other support making it possible for Raising Cane Farms to "get off the ground."

In August 2011, founder James McCormick was named a Bob Woodruff Farming Fellow thanks to the support of the Farmer Veteran's Coalition (FVC). Fundering from this fellowship is enabling us to clear the land, build roads, establish a watering systems, and build a greenhouse.

The FVC is also providing mentoring from a former Vietnam veteran, who has been raising bamboo for over twenty years.

Work Vessels for Veterans has provided funding for a trailer, marketing and web development support and important introductions to other veteran farmers including Veteran Farm's pioneer Adam Burke.
